I think it is important that not only is Aux a community association, but that association legally owns the Aux trademark, Auxlotol (sorry I can’t spell it) logo, wordmark, etc.
This is important for a few reasons:
- It clarifies the identity of the project.
- It prevents bad actors from abusing the project’s name.
- It requires private interests to distinguish themselves, their product, their services, etc. from the core project.
