Brainstorming: SIG Rust Repo

I think we should brainstorm a bit about our potential repo(s)

I think it makes sense to at first have a repo where we start a collection of rust packages, and later (possibly in a second repo) work on our own rust build tooling like discussed in brainstorming. Any ideas?

Also do we wanna first package things already in nixpkgs, or do we want to work on extending nixpkgs with this repo, maybe adding more nieche projects if people in this SIG have interest in that? I personally think doing the latter would be kinda neat to get at least something going! :smiley:

I think that it would be necessary to work together with the other SIGs first to come up with a holistic structure for the package ecosystem. After that some of the rust specific things can be dealt with.
